Kronons were genetically modified human natives, turned foot soldiers for an unknown enemy, and possessing terrifying abilities. They had an extra gland inside their brains and bodies that allowed them to harness the ambient life energy of the planet and sun to bolster their strength and fortitude to superhuman levels allowing them to make hash of the inverse-square proportions governing size.
Kronons were big because they were designed to be superhuman in other words they could lift many times their own mass and hold objects together by a kind of touch-telekinesis.
