Ajo is the president of Ajo Heavy Industries and Production Minos. He has a strong fascination (perhaps even a fetish) for mechanical parts and mechanisms, especially the clockwork automatons he collects. Ajo was originally an officer in the Japanese Army during World War II. His fascination with Automatons and his military experience sent him into the weapons business, where he developed the PPOR robot, partially by stealing research notes from Dr. Mima. Ajo is totally self-absorbed and insensitive to the needs of others, selfish beyond imagining, willing to use people to obtain his ends while imagining himself to be some sort of near-demigod, the virtual center of the universe around which all other planets should revolve. His goal is to perfect and sell the PPOR as a remote-controlled robot soldier, and for that he needs secrets that only Dr. Mima knows.

When Trudy Wells broke into the lab after making her way through Ajo Heavy Industries she ignored all the technicians experimenting on Sakura Kuriyagawa and made a beeline for Ajo. All at once she had Ajo doubled up backwards over his own machine with her hand at his throat, preparing to squeeze the life out of him only to be stopped by the Power.
It was with great difficulty that Trudy forced herself to turn away from Ajo and demand that the technicians that they release Sakura. She then waited until Ajo had finished gasping and rubbing his neck before asking him why he was doing what he was doing. Ajo’s only reply was because he could before threatening to have her arrested. All but trembling with the need to slap this arrogant man silly Trudy reminded him that if he did that she would just expose him for the crook he was. Then upon finding out that Trudy not only incapacitated all of his security including Sergei but destroyed his latest PPOR robot Ajo attempted to shoot her. Naturally she took the gun away him, then casually dismantled the thing before his eyes as her way of informing him of just how insulted she was that he would consider such a useless device as a deterrent to her vengeance. Luckily for Ajo before Trudy could give him a more impressive display of her wrath Key arrived distracting her. Ajo demanded to know who Key was one second before Trudy slapped him into dreamland.
